Carphone Warehouse are one the best known retailers in the UK, specialising in mobile phones, tablets and accessories. Carphone Warehouse is part of Dixons Carphone and have over 2,400 stores across Europe. The company was founded in 1989 by Sir Charles Dunstone and Julian Brownlie and has grown to employee over 11,500 people. In addition to selling mobile phone contracts and pay as you go handsets Carphone Warehouse also offer a trade-in scheme which allows you to get cash for your old mobile phones.
One of the things that sets Carphone Warehouse's trade-in scheme apart from rival services is the option to take your phone into an one of their 800 UK stores to immediately get cash for your phone or you can opt to post your phone as you would with most other phone recyclers. Carphone Warehouse still send you a pre-paid envelope which you simply put your phone in and take to the Post Office or pop in a postbox.
You can choose to be paid by either bank transfer or cheque, it usually takes between 3-5 for payment to be made by Carphone Warehouse when you sell your phone to them. Broken phones are not a problem, you can still get paid for them although the value will be adjusted depending on how badly damaged the phone is and you can recycle phones that you didn't originally buy from Carphone Warehouse too.
Carphone Warehouse is sometimes misspelt. Common misspellings include: Car Phone Warehouse, Carfone Warhouse.
