We're giving away the new iPad! iTunes vouchers for runners up!

To celebrate the launch of our brand new forum Compare and Recycle are giving away some great prizes including a new Apple iPad! We want to keep the competition as simple as possible, that means you don’t need to design anything, write any clever poems or even answer any questions. We’ll even let you have more than one entry if you fulfil more than one entry criteria!

It’s as simple as doing one (or more if you would like a greater chance of winning a prize) of the following:

  • Become a fan of our Facebook page

and post a message on our wall stating how much you can get for your phone through our comparison.

  • Follow us on Twitter

and Tweet us stating how much you can get for your phone through our comparison tagging the post with #ipadentry.

  • Sign up to our forum(you can even do this in just a few seconds using your Facebook account) and post a reply in the Forum Launch Giveaway Entry Thread statinghow much you can get for your phone through our comparison.
  • We will also give you an extra entry for every member you get to join the forum (they must enter your user name in the referral box when they sign up to the forum).

We will enter your name into our draw once for each type of entry you make and draw the winner at random, remember entering more than once makes you much more likely to win a prize! We would really appreciate the winners providing us with a photograph of themselves and their prize to be placed on the site, but this isn’t a requirement.

First prize will be a brand new Apple iPad, four runners up prizes of a £25 iTunes voucher will also be awarded.

The competition will run from May 1st until midnight GMT on May 31st. See Terms and Conditions before entering. If you have any questions visit the forum thread for this competition.

There's One Issue With 5G We Can't Ignore

5G hype is everywhere, but it isn't just going to have a colossal impact on mobile connectivity speed and wireless networks. It will also dramatically boost the rates of mobile phone waste if smartphone owners continue to be apathetic about smartphones' collective impact on the environment.

Co-Founder of Android Showcased a Weird, But Interesting Phone

After years of silence, it looks as though Essential are ready for a new chapter and it is going to be an attempt to shake up the industry once again. Recently, Andy Rubin took to Twitter to share a Project Gem phone that looks like nothing we've seen before.
