Samsung Galaxy Nexus white edition arriving early February

For the past few years, partly influcenced by the Apple iPhone most new mobile phones seem to be going for a very black colour scheme, thankfully in another iPhone influenced move most manufacturers are now releasing a white version of many top handsets.

The attractive but rather plain (so plain it doesn’t even have real hardware buttons on the front!) Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the set to receive a white alternative early next month but unlike the Samsung Galaxy S II and iPhone 4S only the back of the phone will be white. It’s a matter of personal taste but the contract between the black front and white back is certainly quite eye catching.

The Galaxy Nexus is still one of the few handsets to run the latest version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich. Although the Galaxy Nexus is a fairly large phone it needs to be in order to incorporate the huge 4.64″ screen and with 720p resolution it looks great too. The speedy 1.2Ghz dual-core processor and 1GB RAM complete the package and make the Galaxy Nexus one of the top handsets on the market right now.
