Problems can't slow down the iPhone 4, Firefox 4 Beta Launched

Here’s https://www.compareandrecycle.co.uk‘s round-up of the latest technology news:

iPhone 4 Still in Demand Despite Problems

It’s still difficult to get your hands on Apple’s latest handset despite the number of problems being reported. Easily cracked glass, yellow spots on screens and the notorious reception issues haven’t halted the iPhone 4’s popularity one bit as retailers and mobile networks are still selling out as quickly as they can get the iPhone 4 back in stock.

With all the major networks offering the iPhone 4 supply has been spread thinly with most operators facing backlogs of orders and waiting lists. Still it’s not impossible to get one if your willing to be persistent enough to check the various outlets each day for new stock and failing that, you could always win one!

Firefox 4 Beta Launched

The beta version of the long awaited Firefox 4 web browser from Mozilla has now been released, offering a revamped interface which includes some fairly significant changes. Taking it’s lead from Google’s Chrome tabs are now along the top of the window, freeing up a little extra room for viewing webpages and the entire default theme now has much more visual appeal.

Attempts have been made to increase speed and stability should improve significantly as a result of single tab crash protection, meaning that a page or plug-in such as Adobe Flash crashing shouldn’t lock up the entire browser. HTML5 and CSS3 support have improved as well as introducing support for the WebM video format, the possible replacement for the dominant Flash format as far as online video is concerned.

It looks like Mozilla could be onto another winner with Firefox 4 despite firm competition from Chrome in recent months and who knows, maybe this could be the version to finally overtake Microsoft’s Internet Explorer in market share?
