While the vast majority of people have positive experiences when using a mobile recycling company there will always be the odd occasion when things don’t go quite to plan. Unfortunately one of the most common problems we hear of is a phone not reaching a recycler in the first place.
Many mobile phone recycling companies offer not only free postage when sending you a phone but they’ll even send you an envelope to put your old mobile in. This is a great service and it makes selling your old handset to a mobile recycler even easier, but unfortunately the postal service isn’t always reliable.
Most of the phones sent to mobile recyclers arrive without any problems but we strongly recommend that when sending a high value mobile you post it by Special Delivery. By sending your handset by Special Delivery you are able to track the order and if it goes missing in the post or is damaged then you will be able to claim compensation for the value of the phone. Special Delivery will cost a little bit more, but if you’re selling a high value handset such as an iPhone then it’s better to lose a few pounds rather than risk losing more than £100.
