It really does pay to be green!

There probably aren’t too many people who will say that recycling is not a good thing, but many of us are put off by the effort it sometimes takes in order to recycle our waste. Most of us are now able to put glass bottles, tin cans and paper into recycling bins that go out just like our normal refuse but for things such as electronics being green still means a trip to your local recycling centre.

Luckily things are changing, for items such as old mobile phones, laptops, digital cameras and MP3 players recycling is becoming much more of a pain-free process. The emergence of mobile phone recycling companies for example means that recycling an old mobile phone has gone from being a chore to actually making you money! Things couldn’t get much better, not only will these companies make recycling easier than ever but they’ll even send some cash your way just for doing the environmentally friendly thing. That’s right, you can sell an old mobile phone for cash while helping the environment at the same time.

Lets be honest though, while a few pounds for an ancient Nokia 3310 might be a nice bonus when getting rid of it, we all still want to get the best deal we can. This is especially true if your old mobile happens to be a model that is still worth a few quid such as an iPhone. So how do you know who gives the best price for your old mobile phone? Well you have two options, you could manually check the prices offered by each recycler, although considering there are over 30 this could take quite a bit of time. Your other option is to just visit Compare and Recycle, who will compare the prices offered by all the top recycling companies for you and tell you the most cash offered for your old mobile.

Compare and Recycle will do much more than just tell you how much money you can get though, they’ll give you information such as who offers free postage, free packaging, your payment options and which accessories the different companies require you to send with your old phone. If that wasn’t enough Compare and Recycle even have a forum where you can share your experiences using each of the recyclers and read other users’ mobile phone recycler reviews so you’ll know who you can and cannot trust, many of the recyclers compared even visit the forum and will respond to any questions or problems you may have.

So now you know how easy it is to recycle an old phone there’s no excuse. Dig through those drawers and get those old handsets on their way to a mobile phone recycling company, helping the environment and getting some cash in your pocket at the same time! Don’t forget, it’s not just mobiles either, you can recycle old laptops, MP3 players and digital cameras too!
