iPhone vs Android, Free Cases for iPhone 4 Users

Here’s https://www.compareandrecycle.co.uk’s round-up of the latest technology news:

Apple offering free cases to iPhone 4 users

By now everyone has heard about the various problems with the iPhone 4, including a drop in signal if you hold the phone in the wrong way. It’s been well documented that keeping your iPhone 4 in a case can solve the issue but it’s not really fair to sell a product that only works the way it should if you buy an accessory is it?

Well Apple finally responded in a press conference held on Friday and they covered some of the many rumours about the problem. They pointed out that most phones lose reception if held near the antenna and made it clear the problem isn’t a bad as reports suggest.

They did offer a solution though, they’re giving away free cases to iPhone 4 users until September and while not everyone wants to use a case it will at least solve the problem. If you have an iPhone 4 you can get your case from the Apple website, beginning towards the end of the week.

Android and iPhone go head to head

The competition between Android and iPhone is heating up and now mobile users can fight their corner in the new mobile game Skies of Glory. Skies of Glory allows Android users to play again iPhone users so while the battle of the mobile operating systems is a long way from being decided the battle of the mobile users is on!

The game itself looks pretty good and while it’s not the first game to feature cross-platform multiplayer it could be the game to kick start a trend.

5G hype is everywhere, but it isn't just going to have a colossal impact on mobile connectivity speed and wireless networks. It will also dramatically boost the rates of mobile phone waste if smartphone owners continue to be apathetic about smartphones' collective impact on the environment.
