iMac May Get Touchscreen, Halo Reach Leaked

Here’s https://www.compareandrecycle.co.uk’s round-up of the latest technology news:

Halo Reach Leaked

With Microsoft’s biggest game this year hitting next month the last thing they would have been hoping for is the game to be leaked early online, as happened to the last Halo game, Halo 3: ODST.

Well unfortunately for Microsoft the game is available online now, this comes as a result of Microsoft making the game available to a select few via the Xbox Live Marketplace. Although access was restricted and a massive 99,999 Gamerpoint price tag was added to stop those who may have managed to find it, Xbox 360 modders managed to get hold of the game and release it on file sharing networks.

Thankfully for Microsoft the situation is not quite as bad as it seems, not even a modded 360 is enough to play the leaked game. Playing the leaked released requires a special mod which involves soldering a parallel port onto the 360 console, something very few will be doing just to play Halo Reach early.

Touch Screen iMac Patented

Patent fillings made by Apple appear to reveal an iMac mounted on a lamp like stand which makes it suitable for both touch screen and traditional mouse based use.

The success of the iPhone and the recent release of the Magic Touchpad indicate that for Apple the future is definitely touch based.

The actual release of a touch screen desktop from Apple could be a long way off and it remains to be seen how different the final product will be from Apple’s current iMac range.
