When you think of phablets Samsung’s line of Galaxy Note devices are one of the first things that springs to mind. Not only do Galaxy Note devices offer a much larger screen than your average phone but the inclusion of a stylus gives them something extra that most phones don’t have. The Galaxy Note 4 was well liked and the Galaxy Note 5 looks like an improvement but strangely it isn’t coming to the UK according to Samsung!
The internals of the Note 5 are top of the range stuff. With the Samsung octa-core Exynos 7420 processor powering things and 4GB of RAM the Note 5 has the performance to handle just about anything you can throw at it especially thanks to the lighter TouchWiz interface seen on the Galaxy S6 earlier this year. Just like the S6 you’ll also get a 16-megapixel rear camera and a beefed up 3,000mAh battery to help power the 5.7-inch quad HD screen.
Included is support for Samsung’s payment system that aims to take on Apple Pay and the S Pen returns, something that is well liked about the Note series. In terms of design the Note 5 gets things very right, looking like a back-to-front Galaxy S6 Edge you get the curves around the back which makes more sense from a comfort point of view. Other than slightly squarer corners the Note 5 looks like a bigger Galaxy S6 from the front which is nothing to complain about.
Samsung haven’t announced the Note 5 for the UK yet which is strange as previous models did get released here and it’s a shame as the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is a great looking phone with top hardware inside. The addition of a stylus sets it apart from most other phablets too so this is definitely a phone to keep an eye on, if it ever does come to the UK that is!
